Featuring Wade Brown, the city’s manager for the Village Entrance Project
Ann Christoph, landscape architect, former councilmember and mayor
Ruben Flores, Chair of the Beautification Council, horticulturist, and owner of Laguna Nursery.

At a joint meeting of the City Council and the Planning Commission on February 1, representatives of Village Laguna and the Beautification Council presented an alternative proposal for the Village Entrance that showed how a meandering path could fit on the site, and Councilmembers agreed that some parking spaces might be eliminated to accommodate that. The results will be examined at a future joint PC-CC meeting.

Unfortunately, the Councilmembers decided to save money by going back on their long-standing commitment to restore the outside of the historic sewer digester building. We are hoping they will reconsider this decision before the final version of the design comes back for review.
