Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission review the attached conceptual plans and supplemental information for the potential development of a mixed-use hotel facility, individually conduct a site visit to evaluate the preliminary staking, consider public testimony, and provide general direction to the applicant. Specifically, it would be important for the applicant to receive general direction regarding the following: Request to change hotel/motel density requirement in the C-1, Local Business District; Project parking requirements; Neighborhood compatibility; Design integrity and articulation; and Building height and massing.
